You’re told the month’s doomsday and its weekday — count to the date
The Count from the doomsday drill is new and still finding its feet. Nothing about it is locked in — it may change shape, or go away again, depending on what people make of it. If you have an opinion, tell me.

You are given a month’s doomsday date and the weekday it falls on. Find the weekday of the second date. This is the last step of the algorithm, on its own — the count that every full date ends with.
Count the days from the doomsday to your date, throw away whole weeks (any multiple of 7 leaves the weekday unchanged), and step what is left from the doomsday’s weekday. Counting back works the same way: step backwards, or add 7 first if that is easier.
